New for 2027:

All-New High-Revving 250cc Engine 
The YZ250F's all-new 250cc four-stroke engine increases power and torque across the entire rpm range, boasting a higher redline for more aggressive performance.

YZF-R1-Inspired Rocker Arms
New rocker arms inspired by Yamaha's supersport YZF-R1 combined with new finger-follower intake valves increase the rev limit by 700 rpm.

Increased-Airflow Intake Port 
A newly optimized intake port shape increases airflow, while compression ratios have been raised accordingly.

Double-Spring Intake Valves 
New intake valve springs feature the first double-spring design on a YZ Series model, improving stability to balance the higher-revving engine.

Smooth-operating Hydraulic Clutch
The new YZ250F adopts the YZ450F's hydraulic clutch, along with a clutch hose specific to the YZ250F, with an increased clutch spring load for smooth feathering and engagement.

Dry Sump Lubrication System 
A new dry sump lubrication system provides stable oil circulation, improving the durability and reliability for the higher engine output.

CHASSIS/SUSPENSION

Advanced Aluminum Bilateral Beam Frame

The 2027 YZ250F adopts the YZ450F's compact aluminum bilateral beam frame, providing the right amount of strength and flex for the perfect balance of stability and cornering performance. The result is a better handling machine with lighter feel, more agility and increased traction allowing the rider to enter corners with greater confidence and more line choices.

Class-Leading KYB Suspension

New front and rear KYB suspension, including a new rear shock with a new base valve, piston and tool-less low speed compression adjuster, offers increased damping force, shock absorption and comfort that enhances overall traction.

Lightweight All-New Rear Brake

An all-new rear brake system has been revised to create a linear buildup of stopping power while providing significant weight savings.

Enhanced Mass-Centralization
The engine, aluminum muffler and compact fuel tank are positioned close to the machine's centre of mass. This layout contributes to centralized mass for a lightweight handling feeling on the track. The wide 55 mm foot pegs help lower the rider's centre of gravity for enhanced machine balance, control and rider comfort.

270 mm Front Brake
A large 270 mm front brake disc is the same system fitted to the YZ450F and uses an aggressive pad material for exceptional stopping power and braking control. Out back, a durable heat-resistant rear rotor boosts brake durability.

Strong, Lightweight Wheels
Careful computer-aided refinement of each wheel’s cross-sectional profile shaves valuable weight without sacrificing durability.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Adjustable Handlebar Mounts 
The 4-position adjustable handlebar mounts are rubber-mounted to improve comfort and reduce handlebar vibration while the alloy handlebar centralizes overall mass.

Embedded Graphics 
Yamaha’s unique embedded graphics are built into the bodywork for extended durability, resisting both peeling and damage.

Race-Winning Details
